Judy Twedt uses sound and music to create acoustic representations of climate data. Analogous to visualization, data sonification is the sonic representation of data. Judy's climate data soundtracks have been aired on KUOW, PBS, and NPR. She is also a speaker for TedX Seattle, and the 2019 Crosscut Ideas Festival. For her research and public service, she received a National Science Foundation Graduate Research Fellowship and two University of Washington Awards for Environmental Leadership. She is a doctoral candidate in a transdisciplinary program in Climate Data Sonification at the University of Washington.
